Evel Knievel is my hero! I grew up wanting to be a daredevil just like Evel Knievel. The Evel toys made during the 1970's represent the most exciting toy ever made for children!
Long live Evel Knievel and his daredevil spirit that HE instilled upon all of us!
Thank you Evel!

Standing outside our rig in Butte. Waiting and wondering if Evel was going to be able to show up to sign a couple of bikes we had on display. How we felt as we saw an obviously ill Evel sitting on the passenger side of his custom Ford pick-up as it pulled up next to where we were standing. Evel sitting on a bike built for him as he signed his name on the tank. As he got back in the truck to leave feeling weak and out of breath yet able to stick his arm out the window to shake my hand.
These are my last memories of Evel in person and I will never forget him...

I was a big fan of Evel as a kid had the toys. Saw the movie ? Never missed him on TV or any of the jumps. My cousins/friends and I loved to make jumps and many were ruined but we always fixed them and did it again. Always thought Evel was the coolest and then when i was older read a book and saw him on TV and still liked him as a man, he had Balls and stuck up for what he thought was right and backed it up.
R.I,P. Evel Knievel. You and Whitey B Look alike. 2 nuts...
